Specialising in transporting delicate, vintage items, travertine and fossil stone.

 

Offering daily pickup and delivery services to the Sunshine Coast, Brisbane and Gold Coast, as well as fortnightly Sydney and North QLD runs available.

We are able to place items in your required room and offer bespoke delivery services and assembly.

Please read these terms of carriage carefully. 

By accessing our site or using our services, you acknowledge that you understand, agree, and are bound by these terms.

Freight Requirements

You CANNOT send anything that is deemed illegal, if found the correct Authority will be contacted and further action will take place. 

All freight must be packaged sufficiently and secure or we may refuse delivery. 

Non negotiable are: 

All glass elements bubble wrapped 

Lamps: including lamp shades must be boxed

Fragile items which include: Travertine, fossil stone and marble are required to be wrapped as best as you can,

with all edges and corners covered.

All items/pieces must be labelled and labels must be visible. Freight must match description and weight/dimensions or charges may apply.

Damage to Goods – Inherent Risk. 

Certain goods (including but limited to: fossil stone, travertine, marble) are inherently susceptible to suffer damage upon removal. Unless that damage results from a failure to exercise due care and skill on Our part, We will not be liable.

Damage to Goods – Furniture Items.

If You have elected not to take out any insurance over furniture items whilst in transit or storage, We will only be liable for damage up to an amount of $<200> per item.

Our Insurance.

We offer to arrange for the Goods

to be insured during transit and storage, and details of the type of insurance  will be provided on request.

This insurance will only be arranged if You request Us in writing to do so (including by so indicating in Your written acceptance of Our quotation).


Other Insurance. 

You may, of course, arrange insurance with an insurer of Your choice.

Claims. 

Written notice must be given within 7 days of the date of delivery

The collection/delivery contact details have been fully and accurately communicated to us prior to carriage. In circumstances where these details have not been accurately communicated and we have a failed attempt to deliver: the sender is liable for a re-delivery fee 

If deemed necessary you will provide any assistance we may need to load or unload the shipment on or off our vehicles

Modification of Terms

At our discretion, Dixies Deliveries may edit, add, or remove parts of this agreement. If we do make changes to these Terms of Use, we will make a reasonable effort to provide notice.


Prohibited Conduct

You are solely responsible for your conduct while on our site, and agree to abide by all laws, contracts, intellectual property and third-party rights.


Termination

Dixies Deliveries reserves the right to terminate access to our site and block future use of our services if we deem these Terms of Use have been violated.

Returns

All returns requests are to be arranged via email/website and will be picked up the next day.

Dangerous Goods

We do not ship anything Dangerous or Hazardous, if parcel is deemed as any of these descriptions and you have not informed us fines will apply and freight re delivered to sender asap. 

Undeliverable and rejected shipments 


If the address for delivery is unattended and you or the receiver of the shipment have given us a written ‘authority to leave’ then we may leave the shipment at the unattended address and delivery will be deemed to have occurred in accordance with these terms and conditions. 

You accept that as part of our terms and conditions to be liable for any costs or interest involved with an overdue account/invoice

Any amount overdue by more then 30days will be send to debt collection and you will be liable for any and all costs involved with this process

You hereby agree to indemnify us against and hold us harmless from all claims by any party and from all loss or costs, of whatsoever nature, which we incur as a consequence of the shipment being left in accordance with such ‘authority to leave’.
